Alberto Oviedo
Alberto's journey began in Cuba, where his grandparents and mother were born. They migrated to Colombia during the Cuban Revolution, bringing with them a rich heritage. His grandfather's attention to detail and his mother's gift of a camera set Alberto on his path to photography. While studying Advertising in Colombia, Alberto discovered the power of imagery in connecting brands with consumers. This realization led him to adopt his grandfather’s Olympus camera and pursue professional photography.
We’ve launched a new website to showcase Alberto’s photography through the lens of custom typography. Central to the design is a bespoke stencil typeface—each letterform meticulously carved to echo the bold contrasts and rhythms of his images. By weaving type and image together, we create a visual dialogue that guides the eye, frames each composition, and amplifies the storytelling power of every photograph.
